MUSEUM MEMORIES

Museum 注册永利皇宫 is a program consisting of tours and art classes specially designed for adults with early-stage dementia and their care partners. Participants are part of meaningful social activities, experiencing tactile and intellectual stimulation. This program gives visitors an opportunity to explore modern art in a way that increases their self-esteem and nourishes their relationship with their care partner.

She said, “He is losing his language, we went to dinner with another couple and he didn’t speak.” As we sat there and watched him work with the teaching artist on his self-portrait he told stories of his youth, his travels and his family. After participating in Museum 注册永利皇宫, individuals with dementia and their care partners reported the following:

85% of participants reported feeling less anxious and stressed
81% of participants felt more connected to the community
93% of participants felt more confident in creating and viewing visual art

TOURS

The Bechtler Museum of 注册注册永利皇宫皇宫 Art welcomes individuals with early-stage dementia and care partners to participate in a Museum 注册永利皇宫 Tour. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful social interactions and experience intellectual stimulation while touring the museum’s current exhibitions. All Museum 注册永利皇宫 participants will receive a lifetime membership to the Bechtler. The program is free of cost! 

All tours are from 1 – 2:30 p.m.
